Description

A man runs over the dog, friend of the sparrow. The sparrow takes vengeance. The man loses his horse, his property, and finally his life.

Variants

248A. The Clever Bird

The elephant tramples the lark's nest. The lark gets the aid of the frog, who croaks and leads the elephant to fall into a dry pool; of the crow, who pecks out the elephant's eyes; and of bees, which sting the elephant to death.
