The crow gives good advice to the magpies. The fox avenges himself, plays dead, and catches the crow.
56B. The Fox Drinks and Laughs
The young foxes eat the young magpies. The magpies avenge themselves, with the help of the dog, who plays dead and kills the fox.
56C. The Jackal as Schoolmaster
The jackal will educate the children of the crocodile if they are left in his care. The jackal eats one child each day; but by showing the crocodile the same child over and over, convinces him all is well.
56D. Fox Asks Bird what She Does when Wind Blows
Bird puts head below breast and fox seizes her.
