47A. Catching a Horse by Its Tail

The bear is persuaded to bite the seemingly dead horse's tail. Is dragged off by the horse. The hare asks the destination and laughs till his lip splits.

47B. The Horse Kicks the Wolf in the Teeth

The wolf was not expecting an attack from that end.

47C. Fox Ties One End of the Rope around Wolf's Neck and Other End to Horns of Cow They Intend to Eat

Cow drags wolf to house where man skins it.

47D. The Dog Imitating a Wolf Wants to Slay a Horse

He asks the cat: "Is my back bristled, etc.?" The horse kills him with a kick.

47E. The Fox, the Wolf, and the Horse

The ass absents himself from the parliament of beasts. The lion sends the fox and the wolf to summon him. He pleads his charter of exemption and invites the fox to read it in his hoof. (Cf. K551.18.)
